Workshop

The London Cycle Workshop is primarily a workshop open for servicing and repairs. We are not a specialist shop and are capable of servicing all types of bikes. We have a professional workshop staffed by experienced and qualified bike mechanics. We are also all keen lifelong cyclists and have a wealth of experience when it comes to repairs.

The system is simple. There is no appointment or diary system. You can drop your bike in anytime. We will have a look at the bike with you, agree the repair work that needs to be done and write it out on a workshop form. You specify the collection date and we will phone you when the job is done to confirm the bike is ready to collect.

As we are a small shop we can get pretty crowded. We are flexible about storage as long as it is made clear when the bike is dropped off when it will be collected. This means we can prioritise the jobs in the workshop and keep operating a diary free system! To encourage prompt collection we have devised a simple system…

Our service prices have all gone up by £5. This extra £5 will be deducted from the cost of the service if the bike is collected by the agreed day. This seems to be the fairest system. You the customer set the collection day and pay the original service price if you collect on time. (If you let us know you can’t make it the system is flexible).

We would still like to think that we are flexible regarding storage, (a local store charges £10 per night!), but at the same time too many people have been using us as their personal shed! We hope that this new system is fair and rewards those that collect their bike when they say they can! Let’s see how it works…

We also offer a free courtesy bike for those that drop their bike off for a service and would like to continue their journey by bike. Ask instore for availability.

Establishing a well stocked workshop both for tools and stock of parts from scratch is a neverending task, there is so much needed to ensure you can work on the hugh variety of bikes we see daily in the workshop. We take great pride in our workshop, it is a working project and gets better with each week that passes. Below are a few recent pictures of the workshop, excuse the mess here and there!
