Thank you for taking the time to browse our website.
On the homepage below you will see all of the updates and news from the shop. Check back to this page to see what is new at The London Cycle Workshop, be it new stock, (which comes in almost every day), or a new service we may be offering, (such as bike box hire). We try to post at least one update per month as a kind of rolling newsletter.
More specific information can be found in each of the seperate pages such as our contact details, information on the workshop including pricing and details of our bike box hire. The links page contains links to other shops and websites we like including pages for hard to find bike parts. There is also a section for friends of the shop. This page gets updated frequently so check back for updates.
The gallery page contains pictures of staff bikes, customer bikes and mostly bikes we have built, both vintage and modern. Again, check back for new additions as we tend to do a custom build each week.
We are working on a new page, ‘Stock’, which will outline the brand portfolio for the shop regarding parts and accessories. The problem is there are so many brands we now access to, getting them all onto one page neatly is proving a challenge!
We have also signed up to Twitter to give quick updates for the shop. The Twitter feed appears in the right hand sidebar of the website. You can see our full Twitter profile by following this link.
As with any small business we value the feedback of our customers. If you have any feedback regarding the website, or any other aspect of our shop and service please take the time to drop us a quick e-mail. With feedback from our customers, both current and future, we can continue to improve our business.

Welcome to London and I hope it treats you well!
Great to have a truly helpful and friendly bike shop, someone who appreciates cycling for the love of it.
I’ve been cycling as a leisure / commuter for around 30 years (i’m counting my first yellow and green bike with the fat white tyres, aged 5) and so many shops are run by people who square up to the customers with the whole sucking air, shaking the head, you’re-not-really-a cyclist-are-you-do-you-know-how-many-reps-I-did-on-the-track-this-sunday… kind of attitude!!
Great to have you here and I hope the word spreads!
Thanks for all your help

Simon.
Thank you for your kind words, recommendation and welcome to London. It has been a pleasure to meet you and the many others who have come into the shop and made me feel welcome to the area and the local community, cycling community included.
I appreciate the support as my new shop finds its feet. And not just the fiancial support as a customer, but the positive attitude you any many have shown in enthusiasm towards a new local independent bike shop. My hope is that it is you and the many others with the same attitude that will help me shape this shop over time.
I too have been a cyclists of sorts ever since my first bike, crossing all disciplines. I have boomeranged back and forth from the cycle trade many times. I have taken apart and reassembled so many bikes, (including my first) and fixed so many punctures, (I daren’t think). I can see the passion people have for their bike, think it should be encouraged, and to use your words, just quite simply appreciate cycling for the love of it.
You are welcome for the help, its my pleasure. Feel free to drop in any time you are passing.
Regards,
Simon.
P.S. Thanks also for checking the website for updates. It encourages me to keep it updated!

Having not ridden a bike for over 17 years I recently ended up inheriting a mountain bike which I probably should have scrapped, but chose to give a new lease of life to. I spoke to Simon and took it in for some work and new parts and can happily recommend them to cyclists of any level or experience.
Good, pragmatic (uncondescending) advice from someone who obviously loves and understands bikes.

Hi Simon,
Love your shop and the personal touches you give with service, you offer a sense of real community and appear to have time for people. I think this is important in a time when consumerism is main aim and customer service comes last- not in this shop! lol
See you soon, probably for my tyres…

Simon & Team.
Thank you so much for the work on the bike to date.
THE only place I would feel comfortable, for them to do the essential work on the bike, without returning to find unnecessary bits and pieces added to the bill to bump up the total…….. if only the big cycle shops in London would take note !!
100% trustworthy, top level standards and a very high knowledge of bikes ………
Support your local shop, this is great gem of a bike shop in SW London ………….if only there were more of them !!

Brilliant service, awesome attitude! These dudes rock. Must be something about the roads in this part of London. I’ve had two separate mechanicals that required tools I don’t carry whist riding (BB and crank related) within a mile of this shop and I was fortunate enough to be directed here by a local the first time. Next time I need work doing I will be coming here. These guys know what they are doing and do it very well. Bravo!!

You chaps have the most approachable bike shop in London. No bike snobbery or pained sucking in of cheeks at requests to look at maintenance jobs … just friendly service, patience and a nice atmosphere in the store.
Keep it up!

I have finally found a bike repair shop that totally tunes in to what the customer wants.
I bought a 1980’s Vitus road frame a couple of years ago with the dream of building it up into a nice ‘pretty’ weekend spinner and to act as a two wheeled gym to help maintain my fitness level, but could not find a bike shop that I felt comfortable with to handle the job.
Having popped into the shop a few times and chatted with Simon and Nick I could see immediately that these guys listened to what I wanted and could help me achieve my dream.
Within the space of 3/4 weeks the frame and a boxful of spare parts was transformed from a piece of aluminium hanging on my garage wall to a beautiful piece of cycling machinery that I now fully engage with at every spare opportunity.
Don’t pass by this workshop wondering, push open their door and be amazed at what they can do for your cycling pleasure.
